Students of Behnipora HSS protest against official apathy

Handwara: The students of Government Higher Secondary School Behnipora Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district Wednesday staged protest against the non-availability of the required teaching staff in the institute.

Reports said that the students marched from the school amid sloganeering to protest against what they termed as the apathy of the higher ups.

Protesting students said that they are suffering due to non-availability of teachers, saying that one month has gone and they are still facing staff crises.

Following the protests, administration immediately reached the spot and assured students that within three days sufficient staff will be provided in the institute.

Meanwhile, Civil Society members of Rajwar Handwara expressed anguish over shifting of teaching staff from Middle and High Schools to Higher Secondary School Behnipora.
