Missing boy traced, reunited with family: Police

Srinagar: Police on Tuesday claimed to have traced a boy who went missing from Srinagar.

A police spokesman said that a missing report was lodged by Abdul Rahim Wani son of Abdul Razak Wani resident of sugan Nar Khag Budgam in Police Station Karan Nagar stating that his nephew Tariq Ahmed Wani son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani who is ‘mentally unsound’ was brought to SMHS Hospital for medical treatment by his parents but the boy went missing from SMHS Hospital.

“On this report a missing report was registered and search was initiated.  After strenuous efforts  the missing boy was traced out within five hours” the police official said.

“The parents of the missing boy were informed and the boy was handed over to them,”  he said.

Meanwhile, the parents and other family members hailed the swift action of police in tracing the missing boy, the spokesman added.
