Militant killings backlash: Clashes erupt in Kulgam

Srinagar: Government forces on Saturday resorted to tear smoke and sound shells in main town Kulgam after youth pelted stones on them.

Sources said that some youth assembled in main town Kulgam and started hurling rocks on forces deployed in the area which was retaliated by firing some tear smoke and sound shells triggering clashes in the area.

Sources added that the students of Government Degree College Kulgam have also started protesting in college campus against the killing of two militants in Dooru area of Anantnag district on Saturday morning.

Reportedly clashes are also going on in Qazigund area between forces and protesters.
