On duty cop killed in mishap
Baramulla: An on duty traffic cop was killed in a road accident at Kanispora area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, a police spokesman said.
Reports said that a traffic cop identified as Mohammad Dilawar was hit by a speedy sumo at Kanispora near JET College when he was performing his duty.
Meanwhile, the traffic cop was rushed to District Hospital Baramulla where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police officials said that a case has been registered in this regard while the driver has been arrested. They also informed that the vehicle was also seized.
