Islamabad: As Pakistan prepares to celebrate Pakistan Day, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has released a song in connection with the 78th anniversary of the adoption of the Lahore Resolution, the ‘Express Tribune’ reported Wednesday.

The theme of the song is ‘Amman ka Nishan Hamara Pakistan’. Besides the national language, the song has also been released in all regional languages.

The Urdu version of the song has been sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan. The song is available in six other Pakistani languages including Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashto, Balochi, Balti and Kashmiri.

This is not the first time the military’s media wing has released a video on a special occasion.

They released a special video to mark the 142nd birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The footage began with commemorating the ideology of the poet of the nation Allama Muhammad Iqbal and goes on to depict the struggle culminating in the creation of Pakistan.

Interestingly, this is for the first time that the ISPR has released a song in the Kashmiri language.

Reiterating the message of peace as its central idea, the song is shot in an enthralling spirit of “patriotism”.

The song’s music has been composed by famed musician Sahir Ali Bagga and its lyrics have been written by poet Imran Raza.

The song has been sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali, Arif Lohar, Asim Azhar, Gul Panrra, Akhtar Chanal Zahri, Mubarak Ali Sawan, Bano Rehmat in Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Pushto, Balochi, Balti and Kashmiri, respectively.

The song’s shooting had taken place at locations that represent and showcase Pakistan. It also pays tribute to the “unwavering support and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army” towards the country and its citizens.

The Kashmiri version of the song goes like: “Diluk junoon yus ragan manz jamah chum, dil aaz logovum meh dar chum neh kah, chun khoof kah aase vun dushmanan hund, watnas dimav neh zah gamgeen sapdan…”
