Search operations conducted in Hajjin, Drubgam

Hajjin: A Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched by Government forces in Hajjin village of north Kashmir, however, the cordon ended peacefully, police said on Friday. In another such operation searches were conducted in Drubgam village in Pulwama district.

“Army and Special Operation Group of the Police launched a search operation at Khosa Mohalla area of Hajin village in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on early Friday after information about the militant movement in the area,” police said.

“Following the inputs, search operation was launched which continued for hours while no contact was established with militants,” a police official said.

“The search operation concluded peacefully as no militant was found in the area,” he said.

Sources said that CASO was launched by government forces on Friday evening in Drabgam village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Official sources said that after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants 44 RR and Pulwama police launched the searches.
