Clashes erupt during CASO in Drabgam Pulwama

Pulwama: Clashes erupted during a cordon and search operation between government forces and protectors  in Drabgam village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday evening.

Sources said soon after forces launched the search operation in the area, youth took to streets and started hurling rocks on forces which is being retaliated by tear smoke shells and sound shells,  triggering clashes in the area.

Earlier government forces launched search operation in the area after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Clashes were going on when reports last came in.

Pertinently Drabgam is believed to be one among most volatile villages of South Kashmir and is native village of top active militant commander Sameer Ahmad @sameer tiger.
