Man trapped in avalanche, rescued: Police
Srinagar: An employee of a construction company was trapped after a minor avalanche hit Shitkari area of Sonamarg, Ganderbal, police said on Thursday.
“An employee of APCO Construction company.pvt Ltd namely Dharam Prakash Singh son of Narender Bahadur resident of Premgadh Danigunj Uttar Pradesh (A/P Electrician of APCO Tunnel construction) got trapped after an avalanche hit Shitkari area of Sonamarg, Ganderbal”, a police official said.
“As soon as Ganderbal police received the information, a special team was constituted comprising of police parties from Police Station Sonamarg, Police Station Gund and Police Post Gagangeer and they immediately reached the spot and rescued the trapped person” the official added.
