Schools re-open in Kashmir after extended winter break

Srinagar: All private and government primary and middle schools re-opened on Saturday except in south Kashmir, five days later than scheduled, after winter vacations of more than 3 months, officials said today.

Pertinently, schools were to re-open on Monday however the government extended the holidays as a precautionary measure after the civilian killing by army in Shopian on last Sunday.

Notably schools in south Kashmir will re-open on Monday, authorities said.

Meanwhile, all BOSE examinations scheduled for today will also be held as per schedule.
