First ever laparascopic surgery performed at Trauma Hospital Kangan
Ganderbal: First ever laparoscopic surgery was performed at Trauma Hospital, Kangan on Tuesday.
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy was performed on a 30 year old female patient today by the surgical unit of the hospital. The operative team under the supervision and logistical support from Hospital Administrator included Dr Feroze Khan, Consultant Surgeon, Dr Abid Sofi, Dr Arshiya, Dr Faheem (Anaesthetists), Farooq Ahmad Rather, Sheikh Gowhar, Sheikh Hilal, Showket Magray, Mohd Yaqoob, Amina & Mushtaq Sheikh (OT Staff). Pertinently it’s to mention that Diagnostic Endoscopy has been started as well in the hospital.
Director Health Services, Kashmir Dr Saleem ur Rehman has complimented the Hospital Adminstrator Dr Yasmeen Kango and the operative team for achieving this feat.
