Srinagar: After a purported poster being attributed to Zakir Musa’s Ghazwat-ul-Hind threatening Hurriyat leaders surfaced in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, the outfit has issued a statement stating that the claim attributed in the posters is false.

On Friday, few posters allegedly attributed to the ‘Gazwat ul Hind Ansar’ were found pasted on the Degree College Pulwama taking the responsibility of the recent killing of a policeman guarding Hurriyat leader Fazl-ul-Haq Qureshi at his Soura residence.

The statement by the ‘Ansar Ghazwatul Hind’ said that any claim attributed to the outfit in recent days regarding killing of any person is false.

“All official video/statements/photos/audios of Ansar Ghazwatul Hind are released only on Al Hurr media’s Telegram channel,” the statement said.

It said that all other unverified claims/statements/audios not released by Al Hurr media are not our responsibility now or in future.

“Our official statements are only released via internet and not by pasting of posters,” it added.

“Whenever we claim or will claim any attack or statement, it will be via our official media outlet Al Hurr Media on Telegram instant messaging application,” it said.

Earlier, the posters written in bad Urdu had claimed that the attack was directed at the senior leader and instead his guard got killed.

“We tried to kill him and it was our bad luck that his security guard was there and was hit by the bullet,” said a poster of the organization pasted on the main gate of Degree College Pulwama.
