Drug peddler held in Pattan

Baramulla: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered 120 gms of Charas  from his possession in north Kashmir’s Pattan area.

A senior police official said that Mirgund Police arrested one notorious drug peddler and recovered 120 gms of Charas from his possession in Mirgund Pattan.

“A naka party of Police Post Mirgund got alerted when they saw one suspicious person coming from Khanpeth towards Hartrath. On checking the  person , four bundles of charas wrapped in maize shells were recovered” police said.

He was later identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bhat  son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat resident of Tergam Sumbal.

Meanwhile a case FIR no 43 of 2018 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act of Police Station Pattan has been registered further Investigation of the case has been started.
