Indo-Pak armies exchange fire along LoC

Srinagar: India and Pakistan armies on Thursday exchanged heavy fire along the  Line of Control  in north Kashmir’s Uri Sector.

The Pakistani troops opened unprovoked firing at Indian posts in the Hajipeer area of the Uri sector in Baramulla district this morning, the official said.

He said Indian soldiers are retaliating the aggression from across the LoC effectively and in equal measure.

No casualties have been reported in the incident so far, he added.

The exchange of fire was going on when the last reports came in.

Pertinently, India , Pakistani troops on Wednesday also the exchanged fire  along the Line of Control (LoC) in Tangdhar sector, in which a Pakistani soldier was reportedly killed, an official said.

The Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing on Indian posts in Tangdhar sector in Kupwara district yesterday afternoon, the Army official said.
