GoC 15 Corps meets Vohra

JAMMU: Lt. Gen. A.K. Bhat, GOC 15 Corps, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here Saturday and briefed him about issues relating to the security situation in the Valley.

Observing that there was no likelihood of a decline in the continuing militant activities the Governor advised enhanced surveillance along the LoC.

He appreciated the Army’s sustained strong support to the Security Forces in carrying out counter-insurgency operations in the Valley.

Lt Gen AK Bhatt apprised the Governor about the overall security situation in the Valley including stringent enforcement of the Counter-Infiltration Grid along the LoC in Kashmir region, a defence spokesman said. 

He said that they also discussed the vital importance of a fully integrated inter-service approach being followed in regard to planning and operational issues.
