Cloud cover pulls up minimum temperatures in JK

Srinagar: With cloud cover hovering,  the minimum temperatures throughout Jammu and Kashmir showed improvement on Saturday, according to the weather office.

The MeT office has said that there would be further improvement in the weather during the next 24 hours

In Srinagar, the minimum temperature was 4.5 degrees Celsius while in Pahalgam and Gulmarg it was minus 1.1 and minus 6.5 respectively.

Kargil at minus 12.6 degrees Celsius was the coldest town in the state on Saturday while Leh recorded minus 2.1 as the night’s lowest.

The minimum temperatures at Jammu, Katra, Batote, Bannihal, Bhaderwah and Udhampur were 10, 9.4, 4, 2, 2.5 and 8.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
