Clashes erupt during CASO in Hajin
Srinagar: Clashes erupted in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday following a search operation launched by the government forces.
According to sources army’s 13 RR unit, SOG of Jammu and Kashmir launched a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Syed Mohalla locality of Hajin around 4 am.
The search operation was launched following “specific inputs” about the presence of militants in the area.
However, youth took to streets and pelted the forces with stones to disrupt the operation.
The operation was called off after four hours without any positive results for the government forces.
