Cordon and Search Operation Launched in Shopian
A cordon and search operation has been launched by Government forces in Keegam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian District on Wednesday.
The 62 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) of Indian Army, CRPF and SOG of Jammu Kashmir have launched a massive manhunt following the inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Meanwhile, door to door search operation has been launched in the area where militants are believed to have taken refugee, sources said.
The entry and exit points to and from Keegam have been sealed by the Government forces and they are keeping a tight vigil to ensure that nobody escapes the village.
