Karan Nagar encounter: Internet speed reduced to 2G in Srinagar

Srinagar: In the wake the ongoing encounter in uptown Karan Nagar area of Srinagar, the government has ordered the telecom operators in the Srinagar to reduce the data services to 2G (not more than 128kbps).

According to the reports, the telecom operators have been directed to reduce the internet speed in view of law and order situation in the city.

“Communication received regarding the reduction of data services to 2G (not more than 128kbps) in district Srinagar with immediate effect till further orders,” a telecom operator said.
