Srinagar: MLA Pahalgam Altaf Ahmad Kaloo on Friday raised an issue regarding the leakage in pipes at Ziyarat Sharief, Pahalgam.

 

In the assembly, Kaloo alleged that some unknown persons tried to harm the ‘Taburkaat’ (relics) which are kept inside the lockers of the shrine.

 

He sought the attention of the Deputy Speaker Nazir Ahmad Gurezi and demanded that government should take on board the shrine committee to look into the leakage and “serious issue” of relics.

The MLA demanded an inquiry into the failed bid to harm relics.

 

“If the government will not act promptly, people will come on roads over the issues,” Kaloo said. 

 

Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Abdul Rehman Veeri assured that he will look into the issues.

“We will take the concerned Intizamiya on board and will look into the issues,” Veeri said. (GNS)
