70-yr-old man found dead
Kupwara: A dead body of a 70 year old man was found lying in a Nallah in Magray Mohalla, Batergam in Kupwara district on Thursday, police sources said.
According to the sources, the locals found the body lying along the roadside in a Nallah at Batergam and informed police who immediately rushed to the spot.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Aziz Peer, 70, son of Abdul Jabbar Peer resident of Hirri Payeen, Kupwara.
The family has denied sending the body for post-mortem saying Aziz had been sick for the past some time. They took the body home for performing his last rites.
Police has registered a case in this regard and investigation has been taken up.
