Earthquake damages under-construction flyover at Rambagh
Srinagar: Following the earthquake in the valley, an under-construction flyover near Rambagh got damaged when a girder fell upon a crane on Wednesday.
According to the reports, the girder damaged the crane completely. However, there was no report of any injury or death due to the accident.
Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) Director Satish Razdan said that a girder was being lifted by crane to be placed upon the pillars.
“It might be due to the shaking of the earth due to the earthquake that crane got imbalanced and girder fell on the crane. But the rumour that it fell from the top of pillars due to the earthquake is wrong,” he said.
He further added that they are looking into the matter.
