Srinagar: Condemning the civilian killing and injuring scores of persons including two girls in Shopian district, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Thursday said that ‘trigger happy forces’ are deployed only to kill Kashmiris at will and pro-India politicians of Jammu and Kashmir are deployed to shield these crimes and legalize these killings.

“Shopian killings are a glaring example of colonial callousness of India,” JKLF Zonal president, Noor Muhammad Kalwal said in a statement issued.

Kalwal also condemned the unprovoked firing in Shupion by forces killing an innocent youth Shakir Ahmad Mir and injuring hundreds of others including two girls.

A JKLF delegation comprising of district president Javaid Ahmad Bhat and Tariq Ahmad reached Odoo, Ganawpora and Kalampora and participated in the funeral prayers of the martyred youth.

Delegation as per the statement met with the bereaved families of Shakir Ahmad Mir, Sameer Ahmad Wani and Firdous Ahmad and expressed solidarity with them.

While condemning the ‘brutal’ killing of innocent youth and injuring hundreds including two girls Sumi Jan and Sabreena who are still critical, Kalwal said that “trigger happy Indian forces are deployed to kill Kashmiris at will and the only job of pro-India Kashmiri politicians, rulers and assembly members is to provide legal cover to these killers.”

He said that “killers and their abettors will surely face justice one day as according to the law of retribution; every tyrant and oppressor has to answer for his crimes against humans and humanity.”

JKLF zonal president while condemning the prolonged incarceration of Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and Ghulam Muhammad Dar who are languishing at central jail Srinagar from Jan 19, condemned the police raid at the residence of JKLF leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt and termed it as worst police terrorism.

JKLF has expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the mother of senior journalist associated with Kashmir Uzma Showkat Hamid.

Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family of the deceased mother, JKLF spokesman prayed for her heavenly abode.
