Kashmir turned into prison, says NC
Jammu: The opposition National Conference on Tuesday staged walkout from the Legislative Assembly to protest against “harassment” of people by the government forces in Kashmir ahead of Republic-Day saying that government forces have turned Kashmir into a prison.
“Kashmir has been turned into a prison. Why are people being harassed?” asked Ali Muhammad Sagar of the National Conference.
He said that people are not being allowed to come out of their homes in Kashmir.
The Congress also staged walkout to protest over the death of civilians in cross-border shelling while the ruling BJP shouted anti-Pakistan slogans.
