Unified Headquarters meet: CM stresses on humane approach, exercising restraint
JAMMU: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday urged the top security officials operating in the state to observe maximum restraint and adopt a more humane approach, while dealing with any kind of a security situation in the state.
Chairing the Unified Headquarters held in Jammu on Tuesday the Chief Minister, took a review of the overall security scenario in the State including the situation obtaining in the areas along the borders.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister stressed upon the security agencies to adopt a more humane approach while dealing with the situations. She advised the security agencies to exercise maximum restraint and strictly ensure safety and security of people and their properties.
Mehbooba Mufti said the need of the hour is to engage meaningfully with the people, particularly youth, so that they are able to contribute to the society and its welfare. She stressed on increased community policing activities and enhanced outreach by the administration.
Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh was also present in the meeting.
