FTII to conduct one day awareness camp at DIPR Srinagar

Srinagar: Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in collaboration with Directorate of Information and Public Relation Jammu and Kashmir is conducting a one day awareness camp at DIPR auditorium Polo View Srinagar on Jan 20 regarding the courses being offered by the FTII Pune and Satyajeet Rai FTII Kolkata.

The students pursuing graduation or who have completed the graduation recently may attend that awareness programme as most of the courses offered by these institutions require a minimum qualification of graduation any discipline.

However, the three year diploma course being offered in Sound and Engineering requires a qualification of 10 2 with physics.

Officials informed Kashmir News Service (KNS) that two faculty members from FTII Pune including Pankaj Saxena, a visiting for professor and consultant to FTTI Pune and Lalit Tiwari, a faculty member will be interacting with the students in the awareness camp. The camp will start at 11:30 in the morning.

Pertinently, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti announced that the government will sponsor the deserving candidates who make it to FTII Pune/Satyajeet Rai FTTI.

Last year 4000 students across the country appeared in the written test for 160 seats.

Srinagar is also one of the examination centres for the written test this year. Last date for submission of application is Jan 26, 2018.

On Tuesday, a similar awareness camp was conducted in Press Club Jammu in which around 300 students participated. (KNS)
