Noisy scenes in J&K Assembly over arrest of Bilal Kawa by Delhi Police

Jammu: Opposition parties on Tuesday created noisy scenes in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to protest against the detention of Bilal Ahmad Kawa by Delhi Police in Red Fort attack case

As soon as the legislative assembly resumed its business on Tuesday, independent legislator, Er Rasheed stood up from his seat and pressed the PDP-BJP government to issue a statement on the arrest of Bilal Ahmad Kawa who was arrested in Delhi few days ago.

“Bilal Kawa ka ky kasoor hai?” Rasheed asked the Mehbooba led government. “Do you want to create another Afzal Guru out of Kawa?”

“Kawa is innocent and J&K police also told me that Kawa has clear record,” the MLA Langate Rasheed told the house.

National Conference leader and MLA Khanyar Ali Muhammad Sagar also joined him and said that the government should inform the House about the action taken in this regard.
