Cordon and search operation in Kursoo Rajbagh
Srinagar: Government forces launched a cordon and search operation in the uptown area of Rajabagh in Srinagar, reports said.
According to the reports, the cordon was launched following the inputs about the presence of militants in Kursoo area of Rajabagh.
The Cordon and search operation have returned to the Srinagar city after almost 17 years. Earlier, yesterday, government forces launched the operations in various places in the old city area of Srinagar.
Meanwhile, police on Monday said that security forces have been put on a heightened alert in Kashmir following inputs of a possible militant attack in the city ahead of the Republic Day celebrations.
