Bijbehara shuts to remember slain militants on their anniversary

Anantnag: A complete shutdown is being observed in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday in remembrance of first death nnniversary of three slain militants.

Last year on this day, three Hizb militants namely Adil Ahmad Reshi of Bijbehara, Abid Ahmad Sheikh of Satkipora and Masood Ahmad Shah of Bewoora were killed in an encounter with government forces in Awoora village of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Sources said that all business establishments and shops are closed in the area.

They added  the traffic is plying normally on national highway however on inner roads traffic is off.

Amid shutdown, special prayers, local sources said, are being offered for the three slain militants at their villages while many others are visiting grave yards where the slain militants are buried.
