JKLF chief Yasin Malik arrested
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief, Yasin Malik was arrested on Saturday ahead of the proposed separatist protest against the recent killing in south Kashmir.
The Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had called for complete shutdown and peaceful protests across Kashmir on Saturday (January 13).
“Killing of youth is done under a well planned strategy. Probes ordered into these killings is nothing but a mere eyewash,” said the JRL.
Pertinently, Srinagar administration have imposed restrictions under Section 144 CrPC in 7 police station areas of Srinagar. The areas where restrictions where restrictions have been imposed include Rainawari, Khanyar, Nowhatta, Safakadal, M R Gunj, and partial in Maisuma, Kralkhud police stations.
