Budget to ensure our economy becomes vibrant: Minister

Jammu: The Minister for Horticulture, Syed Basharat Ahmed Bukhari today hailed the budget proposals by terming it as one of the most welfare oriented budget being presented in the state during the recent times.

The Minister was speaking to the media after the budget was presented in the State Legislative Assembly here today He said that  it will ensure that the economy of the state reaches heights and becomes one of the most vibrant economies of the country. He further added that requisite provisions have been kept for sustained growth of every sector of the economic activity being undertaken by the people of the state.

Basharat Bukhari said that Finance Minister has been successful in plugging the loopholes of the financial indiscipline and has come up with a welfare oriented budget proposals.

While referring to the provisions made for the horticulture sector in the budget, the Minister said that he is happy that the sectors which he wanted to be addressed as the concerned minister have been fully taken care of and thanked Chief minister and the Finance minister for this vital sector of the state economy, which contributes to more than Rs 9000 crore to the state.

“As a local representative of the people I would say that the budget has taken care of  every vital sector of the developmental needs  of every particular area especially the rural ones with the special focus and thrust on the elevating the socio- economic profile of these areas”, said that minister. He said that every section of the society like industrialists, employees, journalists and horticulturists have been taken care of  by addressing their demands and aspirations.
