JKBOSE declares results for class 10
Srinagar: The J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) on Tuesday declared the annual results of the class 10th students whose exams were conducted in the month of November last year.
As per the figures produced by BOSE a total of 69056 students had appeared in exams out of 43464 students- 22797 boys and 20667 girls have qualified the exams with the pass percentage of 62.94 percent.
The pass percentage of boys is 63.33 percent followed by girls at 62.52 percent.
The number of boys who appeared in exams was 35997 and 33059 were girls, an official from BOSE said.
He said that around 13164 boys and 12378n girls have been declared as failed in the exams. Besides, 2072 boys and 1926 girls have got re-appears.
Meanwhile, the pass percentage of government schools is 46.70 percent and that of private school students is 83.39 percent. Around 38944 government school students had appeared in the exams out of which 18186 have qualified it. 30312 students had appeared from private schools out of which 25278 students have qualified the exams, the official added.
The number students having reappear in one subject is 19880- girls 9538 and boys 10342 while as those having reappear in two subjects is 20944- girls 10375 and boys 10569.
16446 students- 9161 boys and 7285 girls have reappear in three subjects while as 18850 students- boys 9576 and girls 9274 have reappear in four subjects and 25104 students- boys 12921 and girls 12183 have to reappear in five subjects.
Talking to ‘Kashmir Vision’ Secretary JKBOSE Veena Pandita said that the result was declared in one month’s time.
“The last paper was held on 10 December and the officials of BOSE ensured that the results were declared in a record time,” she said.
She also thank the officials of the education department besides the district administration for support to hold the exams in a fair and just environs.
