Srinagar: Former Chief Minister and working president of opposition in J-K Omar Abdullah today said that people are threatened with being blind. He was reacting to the recent audio statement by the Hizb Chief Riyaz Naikoo in which he has asked his colleagues to pour concentrate acid on those who contest local Panchayat elections.

“If it isn’t pellets it’s acid. One way or the other people are threatened with being blinded,” Omar Abdullah wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, operational commander of the militant outfit, Hizbul Mujahideen Riyaz Naikoo in an audio statement has asked his colleagues ‘not to kill the people who contest local panchayat polls but pour concentrate acid in their eyes’.
