Two gamblers arrested, Rs 2530 recovered
Sopore: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two gamblers and recovered stake money of Rs 2530 from the gambling spot.
The officials said that acting on information, a police party of Police Post Watergam headed by D. O. Watergam raided a gambling site at Chatloora Rafiabad and apprehended two gamblers who were identified as Mohammad Altaf Dar resident of Maharajpora Sopore and Javaid Ahmad Dar resident of Sher Colony Sopore.
“Stake money of Rs 2530 was recovered from their possession,” they said.
They said that a case FIR number 01/2018 under section 13 Gambling Act has been registered and investigation has been taken up.
