Hundreds participate in last rites of slain cop

Sopore: Hundreds of people participated in the funeral prayers of slain police constable Ghulam Nabi at his native village Rohama, Rafiabad as he was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard.
Ghulam Nabi was among the four constables, killed in a powerful mine blast at Sopore Saturday morning.
Constable Ghulam Nabi, father of a 4-year-old baby girl with disabilities, is survived by wife, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and old aged parents.
A police spokesman said ASI Irshad Ahmad is survived by his elderly mother, wife, two sons and two daughters.
Constable Mohammad Amin leaves behind an aged mother, wife, four-year-old son Tajam-ul-Islam, a brother and three sisters, while constable Parvaiz Ahmad is survived by an elderly father, wife, three-year-old son Mohammad Noman, an unmarried sister and three brothers, the spokesman said.
