Module engaged in obtaining SIM cards on fake stamps busted

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday claimed to have busted a module of over ground workers (OGWs) of militant outfits  by arresting six persons who were using fake stamps and forged documents of various army units based in North Kashmir to obtain SIM cards and pass on to the militants.

Based on the information provide by Military Intelligence, Police and troops of 46 Rashtriya Rifles of  Army raided different places and arrested six accused including two proprietors of the printing presses in Baramulla, police sources told Kashmir Wire.

The sources said this module has been operating for quite some time in Baramulla.

The over ground workers used to obtain SIM cards on fake stamps and forged documents and pass on them to militants operating in north Kashmir.
