2 drug peddlers held, 2.4 quintals of ‘Fukki’ recovered

Baramulla: Police on Thursday said  they have nabbed two more notorious drug peddlers in Baramulla district.

The alleged drug peddlers were identified as Asif Zahoor Saboon, son of  Zahoor Ahmed Saboon, resident of Townhall Sopore and  Sameer Ahmed Shah son of Mohammad  Ramzan Shah, a resident of  Narpora Sopore.

 A total of 130 Kilograms  of Fukki was recovered from them, police said.

“The duo were transporting huge quantity through highway in a Scorpio vehicle bearing registration number JK15 2863 to various areas of Pattan”, an official from Baramulla  police said.

He said police has registered FIR 06 of 2018 under section 8/15 NDPS Act in Police station Pattan and investigation has been taken up.

This is a second time in two successive days that drugs were recovered by police. Earlier police station Pattan had seized 110 Kgs of poppy straw yesterday. (Kashmir Wire)
