02 gamblers held in Sopore

SOPORE: Police have arrested two gamblers and recovered stake money of rupees 2530 from the gambling spot in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

A spokesman of police said that acting on an information, a police party of Police Post Watergam headed by D. O. Watergam raided a gambling site at Chatloora Rafiabad and apprehended two gamblers who were identified as Mohammad Altaf Dar resident of Maharajpora Sopore and Javaid Ahmad Dar resident of Sher Colony Sopore. Stake money of rupees 2530 was recovered from their possession.

A case FIR number 01/2018 under section 13 Gambling Act registered and investigation has been taken up, the official said.
