Secy Sports Council visits Chamber house

Jammu: The Secretary Sports Council Waheed Ur Rehman Parra Wednesday visited Chamber House and was warmly welcomed By President Chamber of Commerce & Industry Rakesh Gupta along with his team.

On this occasion, as per the statement issued here, Para informed the Chamber about so much was being done in the field of Sports which had not happened before.  “These included the coming up of 22 Stadiums in 22 districts, State Football Academy, Cricket Academy one at Jammu and one at Srinagar, lots of play fields in the rural areas, MA Stadium and Bakshi Stadium to be developed on the International Pattern, encouraging Women Cricket and Football teams and also water sports centres at Manswal in Srinagar and Mansar in Jammu,” statement said.

Para also congratulated Gaurav Gupta, Secretary Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu, who has brought laurels to the state by becoming the first barefoot runner ever from the state of J&K by running half marathon at Delhi recently.
