Army foils infiltration bid Arnia Sector, one killed

Srinagar: Indian army on Thursday claimed to have foiled an infiltration bid from across the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir and killed an ‘intruder’ in the process.

The infiltration bid according to Defence officials was foiled in Jammu and Kashmir’s Arina sector.

“Border Security Force (BSF) personnel noticed the movement of a group of 4-5 militants near the barbed wire fence under the cover of thick fog and opened fire killing one of them. The area has been cordoned off” the official said.
