Slain teen militant records video ahead of attack
Srinagar: Ahead of the ‘Fidayeen’ attack on a CRPF camp in Lethpora Pulwama, 17-year-old Jaish militant, Fardeen Ahmad Khanday had recorded a video urging Kashmiri youth to join the Jaish ranks to fight the ‘Indian oppression’.
In a video which seemingly is recorded prior to the suicide attack, Ahmad begins by saying that ‘when you get this message, I will be far away in the paradise as a guest of God’.
In the video which is doing rounds on social media, Ahmad says that the Indian security agencies and forces are associating the ‘struggle of Mujahids’ with that of unemployment. “These talks are nothing but propaganda”.
“The infidels have occupied our land, modesty of our women is at stake, so Jihad becomes our duty….,”
He urged Kashmiri youth to join militant ranks and fight the ‘oppressor for Azadi’.
“Youth of Kashmir please realize your duties and join the fight for Azadi,” he says in the video that runs for almost eight minutes.
Ahmad along with two other associates attacked the training centre in Lethpora area of Pulwama in south Kashmir killing five security personnel and injuring at least three CRPF men. Ahmad, who had gone missing in September last year was a son of Jammu and Kashmir police constable Gulam Mohiuddin Khanday.
“We will continue to fight till a single Indian soldier remains in Kashmir… This movement is not going to stop now. With a single martyrdom, this storm will not stop”.
He says that a thousand cadres of Jaish achieved martyrdom including many commanders. “Every time the Indian agencies claim that the Jaish ranks have been wiped out in Kashmir, Jaish appears as a storm.”
He eulogizes the ‘martyrs’ of Babri Masjid demolition, Pathankot, Badamibagh, Nagrota army camp, Humhama Airport and Pulwama police lines. Jaish militants are believed to have carried the suicide attacks in these places.
He praised Jamat u Dawa chief Hafiz Syed for bringing the jihad into the mainstream and eulogized Afzal Guru who was hanged for his role in the Parliament attack.
The latest fidayeen attack in Lethpora, Pulwama is the first of its kind as two militants involved in the attack were locals. Earlier, the fidayeen attacks were mostly carried out by the foreign militants.
