India , Pakistan trade fire along LoC in Poonch

Srinagar: India and Pakistani troops today exchanged heavy fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A defence official while confirming about the firing incident said that the exchange of fire started early morning today in Degwar sector of Poonch.

The exchange of fire was going on when the last reports came in.

Pertinently, on Monday, Pakistan said that three of its soldiers were killed after India opened “unprovoked firing” along the LoC in Rawalkot sector of Pakistan-administered Kashmir while as Indian army claimed that  four of its soldiers were killed and another injured in firing by Pakistan army.
