Sopore Police felicitates its Karate team

Sopore: The police team which recently participated in the 2nd J&K State Ren-Bu-Kan Karate championship 2017 at Sainik School Palpora Qazi Abad Handwara was Tuesday felicitated by Sopore police. 

The team which participated in the championship includes: Mehraj-ud-Din Dar, Shadaab Ali Dar, Mudasir Bashir, Zubair Ahmad Bhat, Umer Mohammed, Rizwan Mohiudin, Imran Lone, Tanveer Ahmad Dad, Mudasir Ahmad Khan, Rameez Jaan and Wasim Ahmad.

The team was imparted free coaching at DPL Sopore by Coach Manzoor Ahmad of Shah Hamdaan Sports Academy, Sopore.

During ensuing Ren-Bu-Kan Karate Championship Mehraj-ud-Din Dar, Shahdaab Ali, Mudasir Bashir and Zubair Ahmad Bhat proved their talent in winning four Gold Medals, while as Umer Mohammed and Rizwan Mohiudin has won Silver Medals, and Imran Lone, Tanveer Ahmad Dar, Mudasir Ahmad Khan, Rameez Jaan and Wasim Ahmad won Bronze Medals.

“The winning players have emblazed the name of Police Department in general and Sopore Police in particular by winning four Gold and two Silver and five Bronze Medals.”

The police team was today felicitated and encouraged by the Sopore Police at District Police Office Sopore by senior police officers.

The free Marshal Art coaching which includes kick boxing, Karate, Taekwondo, Wushu etc shall continue for the general youth and if any youth having some specialty/desire in such sports activities shall be imparted free coaching at DPL Sopore and such boys if any may approach District Police Office Sopore, so that they may be able to excel their talent in the concerned sports activity.
