Minimum temperatures rise across valley

Srinagar: The minimum temperatures rose across Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday due to a cloud cover.

The minimum temperature was 2.3 in Srinagar city, 0.1 in Pahalgam and minus 5.2 in Gulmarg. Leh town recorded minus 10.5 as the day’s minimum temperature, a rise of around three degrees. Jammu city recorded 12.2, Katra 13.3, Batote 8.8, Bannihil 4.6, Bhaderwah 3.4 and Udhampur 11 as the minimum temperatures of the day,  a MeT official said.

Light rains occurred in the plains, while the higher reaches received light snowfall, the  official said..
