Shopian encounter: Firing resumes, one militant still hiding
Shopian: The encounter between the Army and a militant holed up in a house in Jammu & Kashmir’s Shopian town resumed today.
Earlier two unidentified militants were killed in the gunfight that started late evening yesterday in Batmaran area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district. Two militant bodies have been recovered so far.
As the government forces were searching for other militant bodies, one hiding militant in the same damaged house started firing on government forces.
Intermittent firing was on till last reports came in.
