JRL calls for shutdown tomorrow against civilian killings

Srinagar: Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has called for a shutdown on Wednesday to protest against the killing of three civilians in firing by government forces.

“A complete shutdown will be observed tomorrow against the killings of Misra Bano, Asif Iqbal and Beauty Jan”  a spokesman of JRL said.

Pertinently, Misra Bano was killed during an encounter between militants and government forces in Younso village of Handwara, Iqbal was killed in alleged army firing in Kupwara  while as Beauty Jan was killed after being hit by a bullet fired by government forces to disperse protesters near the site of gunfight in Shopian today.
