BJP workers celebrate Gujarat, HP poll victory

Jammu/Srinagar: The BJP in Jammu and Kashmir today distributed sweets and burst crackers at various places in the state, including Srinagar, to celebrate the party’s victory in the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly polls.

The party’s state headquarters at Trikuta Nagar here bustled with activity since morning as senior leaders, including J-K BJP president Sat Sharma, joined party workers in the celebrations.

“The credit for the victories in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his agenda of development,” Sharma said.

J-K Assembly Speaker Kavinder Gupta; General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Kaul; general secretaries Narinder Singh and Harinder Gupta; ministers Abdul Ghani Kohli and Priya Sethi; MLCs Ashok Khajuria, Choudhary Vikram Randhawa and S Charanjit Singh Khalsa; and MLAs Rajesh Gupta and Ravinder Raina were also present.

BJP activists burst firecrackers and distributed sweets in Srinagar and took out a rally in Poonch, a party spokesman said.
