Massive search operation in Shopian
SHOPIAN :Cordon and search operation launched in by government forces in about 8 villages of Shopian district after receiving inputs about the presence of the militants in the area.
Official sources said that on specific information 8 villages of Shopian district which include chatripora, Vehil, nowgam, panduchan, kapran, rey kapran, dangam,wangam and its adjacent areas has been cordoned off in joint a joint operation by 62 RR ,34 rr, crpf and Shopian Police.
Local sources said that large number of forces have been deployed in the area and door to door search operation is going on.
It is pertinent to mention that Vehil Kapran area is considered to be the 2nd Hot belt of militancy in shopian district after Heff turkwangam area Pertinently same kind of search operations were launched in the district on May 4, August 19, August 28, September 05 September 09 and November 09, however all these massive operation ended peacefully.
As per sources, door to door search operation was going on when the last reports came in.
