Rohmoo shuts against ‘forces action’
Pulwama/Anantnag: A complete shutdown was Thursday observed in Rohmoo village in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district over the forces action on Wednesday.
Earlier on Wednesday, clashes erupted in Rohmoo after the village was cordoned off by the forces following inputs about the presence of militants there.
Reports said that over half dozen youth got injured in the forces action following which a complete shutdown was observed today.
All the shops and other business establishments remain closed in the area while the traffic was also thin on the roads.
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown was also observed in Marhama village of Bijbehara Tehsil of South KAshmir’s Ananatnag district on the first death anniversary of a local Hizb militant, Basit Rasool.
Rasool was killed on this day in 2016 in Bewoora village.
Basit a student if Islamic University of Science and Technology and son of the bank manager joined militant ranks in 2016 uprising and remained active for less than two months as he was killed after 53 days after joining the militant ranks.
All the shops and business establishments remained closed while the vehicular movement was also affected in the area.
