Srinagar records season’s lowest maximum temperature

Srinagar: The summer capital Srinagar recorded the lowest maximum temperature of the season so far, an official of MeT said on Thursday.

 He said that the maximum temperature in Srinagar on Wednesday was 4.2, while the minimum was recorded at minus 1.5 on Thursday.

Meanwhile vwhile the ski resort of Gulmarg was the coldest in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday at minus 9.8 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature was minus 8.0 in Kargil and minus 6.5 in Pahalgam.

In the Jammu region, Jammu city recorded 7.1, Katra 5.7, Batote 0.3, Bannihal minus 2.9, Bhaderwah minus 0.6 and Udhampur 4.5 as the minimum temperatures.
