Injured JK Bank guards succumb

Two Jammu and Kashmir Bank guards were killed when unidentified gunmen fired upon a cash Van in Keller area of Shopian district.

Official sources said that unidentified gunmen intercepted a cash Van and opened indiscriminate fire leaving two security guards injured and decamped with cash.

The injured bank guards who were shifted to the district hospital in Pulwama have succumbed to the injuries, an official at the hospital said.

“The injured were brought dead to the hospital,” medical superintendent at District hospital Pulwama said.

The deceased were identified as Namely Mushtaq Ahmad, 30, a resident of Anantnag and Tariq Ahmad, 25, resident of Thumlehall Pulwama.
